Performing Arts & Theatre at ISD 

Theatre at ISD offers students a change to explore acting, movement, voice, and production. Whether they're on stage or behind the scenes, studnets learn by doing - gaining confidence, collaboration skills, and a deeper understanding of storytelling.

Tech Meets Talent: Sound & Lights Programme

The Sound & Lights Programme offers in-depth, hands-on training in professional lighting design, live sound engineering, and stage management. Students work directly with industry-grade equipment and are integral to the technical execution of over 40 productions and events each year—including theatre performances, concerts, assemblies, and school-wide celebrations. This immersive experience not only builds technical expertise but also cultivates leadership, problem-solving, and real-world production skills that extend far beyond the stage.

ISD always supported my interest in technology. Teachers let me help with the stage systems at the International Fest when I was only in fifth grade. I wanted to understand how everything worked. ISD Sound and Lights was a big interest for me, and I took IB theatre because it allowed me to do all of the technical things I like.

Community Support

Friends of the Arts – our passionate parent volunteer group that play an essential role in bringing ISD’s creative productions to life. From designing and sewing costumes, to building sets, managing front-of-house, and supporting event logistics, these volunteers contribute their time, talent, and energy to create unforgettable experiences for our students and school community.
