Position: Communications/Marketing Assistant

Hours: Full time (full year, not term time only)

Responsible to: Executive Leadership Team

Group: Administrative Office Staff

 

The Communications/Marketing Assistant will be responsible for promoting ISD to external audiences in support of enrollment strategies and to enhance and protect the ISD brand.

 The position holder will be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment and provide advice and support to colleagues.

The Communications/Marketing Assistant will work as part of the communications & marketing department and work in cooperation with the Advancement & External Relations Director.

In addition to working normal office hours, the Communications/Marketing Assistant may need to attend school meetings and functions and external events that are held outside of office hours including some weekends.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing strategies and metrics in collaboration with the executive leadership team.
  • Help with the preparation of the marketing budget.
  • Create and maintain high quality, targeted marketing materials and tools (print and online) that are consistent with the school’s strategy and brand profile.
  • Create advertising campaigns and determine appropriate media placement to promote enrollment, in cooperation with the Advancement & External Relations Director.
  • Oversee all external-facing materials and content for consistency of messaging and compliance with design guidelines and brand strategy.
  • Manage the school’s relationship with outside branding and marketing firms, graphic designers, and other vendors.
  • Manage school photography and maintain a photo and video archive in line with GDPR requirements, in cooperation with the Communications Assistant.
  • Identify and create content to support the social media strategy, in cooperation with the Communications Assistant.
  • Assist as needed with on-going projects around communication, fundraising, hub of innovation and public relations.

Position: Events Coordinator/Administrative Assistant

Working conditions: Full-time, immediate start

The Events Coordinator/Administrative Assistant reports to the Director of Sports & Activities and the Human Resources Manager. The main tasks of the position are to support all events that take place at ISD and to support the sports and activities programme at ISD.  The main responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant are as follows:

Events coordination

Support in coordinating events that occur at ISD.  This involves working with the event leader to assist in tasks associated with the organisation including the setup and takedown of the event.

Housing coordination for ISD events  

Housing process of all school events that involve visiting students including NECIS/ISST/Music and theater events. This includes regular communication with other schools and with parents scheduled to take guests on specific weekends associated with school events.  

Management of the established child protection procedures when assigning students to be housed.

Online Registration of ISD events

Management of the online registration website and database, for ISD extra-curricular activities including technical support for parents/players/students as needed in ISD’s extra curriculum programme.

Payment collection processes and technical support for parents/players/students as needed.

Assistance with annual on-site registration for new players and data collection for the local sports authorities.

Website Maintenance

The Administrative Assistant will manage the ISD sports and activities website ensuring schedules, upcoming events, pictures and results are updated regularly.

General

The Administrative Assistant will be asked to support various school events throughout the school year as required. This may include supporting fundraising activities such as the Lions Club.

Position: PHE Assistant

Reports to: Department Head of PHE

Date of appointment: August 2018

Working conditions: 10 hours per week. Mini-job contract. Term time only

The duties and responsibilities of the position holder include:

  • Provide support to students with extended physical special needs requirements (improve and increase inclusion)
  • Supervise off-campus learning (for example fields)
  • Substituting for absent PHE teachers
  • Changing room management and hallway monitoring
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Storage rooms (x3) management
  • Health and Safety, cleaning of jerseys and equipment maintaining hygiene
  • Provide and supervise exercises for injured students or for students withlimited participation
  • Setting up and taking down apparatus in learning environments
  • Spotting of students during units like Parkour / Gymnastics / Self-defense
  • Ipads (20x) maintenance (check data protection and privacy, run updates)
  • On site First Aid provider
  • Provide and/or assist with co-teaching opportunities
  • Setting up and taking down technology
  • Assist with technology integration
  • Manage lost and found and spare uniforms
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by the Department Head of PHE within the scope of the assignment.
