OUR ACCREDITATIONS
We take great pride in being the only school in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region that is authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
ISD is also a member of the Association of German International Schools (AGIS) and the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS). During a visit in 2018/19, all three accrediting bodies underscored the excellence with which ISD delivers its unique educational programmes and communicated a powerful endorsement of our vision. The IB noted in its report that “the concepts of pride, creativity, risk-taking and curiosity, essential to nurturing inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, permeate and frame the work of all members of the ISD community.” It is for these reasons that ISD is recognised as an IB flagship school in Europe. We offer an education that is relevant, today and tomorrow; an education that sees our students flourish and inspires them to make a positive difference in their world.
